Enrichment Programs

Workshops, gatherings, or groups with a more specific focus geared towards deeper enrichment of a collective quality.

Currently we are offering:

Wisdom of Wombats (WOW)

An after school club for Middle School age kids (5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grades). We will meet on Thursday afternoons throughout the school year. The focus of the group will change quarterly, to give the opportunity to explore and have multiple experiences throughout the year. The current quarterly topics for our club will be Culture, Makers Space, Games, and Community. These offerings can change based on the needs and wants of the group.

All topics will provide hands on experiences for the kids to learn and create while interacting with their peers.

Culture – Explore different cultures through food, music, art, and learning. We will start in Asia and Central America, with cultures Ms. Anna is most familiar with from travel and then we will fit our club to the interests of the kids. Pen pal opportunity!

Community – Project based and fueled by the passions of the kids and needs of the community. Possible ideas; starting a kindness rock garden in East Troy, little free library, yard services for neighbors, knit scarves to give away, theatre, volunteer at the Food Pantry or Animal Shelter, etc..

Maker Space – Time and place to create with an assortment of mediums dependent on interests of children.  Exposure to a variety of artistic and creative expressions.

Games – Let’s kick it old school with board games, card games, capture the flag, casual sports, and other cooperative games!  We will play classics and try some of the new. This will be a great opportunity for fun, challenge, and socializing.

Cost: $180.00/6 week session (Unless an otherwise determined amount.  If finances would be the only reason to interfere with signing up, please communicate and we can creatively figure an alternative.)

Instructors:  Anna Zinga & Erin Houlihan
